I knit a lot of scarves lengthwise. I do like to do this. This is a beautiful scarf because of the variety of yarns used. It is a good stash buster as well. I prefer lightweights scarves like this even in the winter because they tie and drape so easily. And who doesn't need a bit of spring in the winter? Thank you for the pattern.

It really pays to buy good, beautiful yarn for this pattern because it really shows off the yarn. It is a nice variation on the usual method of knitting a scarf from one end to the other. I try never to stop knitting in the middle of a row for a more finished look. For this pattern, it takes a while to finish a row, but there are only a few rows, so you will still be done in a flash. A great pattern to use over and over again.

This is a lovely simple scarf pattern made elegant by the choice of the beautiful yarns. While the scarf begins by casting on250 stitches, its quick to knit because its only five inches wide. As a bonus, the designer also links to a video tutorial for a sleek elastic bind off.
