Knitting Needle Size7 or 4.5 mm, Circular Knitting Needles
Yarn Weight(3) Light/DK (21-24 stitches to 4 inches)
Gauge20 sts and 26 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch, but gauge is not critical for this project.
Finished Size32.5" (82.55 cm) across at widest portion. 30.25" (77.47 cm) long.

- B: 1 skein Lily Pad (121)

Note: Example has been knit a shawlette. If you desire a full-sized shawl, you may require more than one skein of each color. - 1 pair size 7 36" circular knitting needles (pattern is worked back and forth on long circular needles)
- 4 stitch markers
Instructions
Stripe Pattern
Rows 1-6: A
Rows 7-10: B
Rows 11-14: C
Rows 15-18: B
Note: in this stripe pattern, the cast on row counts as the first row of A. This is not critical; if it's easier for you to keep track of the stripe pattern by not counting the cast on row as the first row of the pattern, it will not drastically change the outcome of the shawlette.
Shawlette Pattern
Using A, CO 9 sts longtail
Row 1 (RS): K4, pm, yo, pm, k1, pm, yo, pm, k4.
- Note: The outer two markers indicate the beginning and end of border sts. The inner two markers surround the center st.
Odd rows 3-end: Sl1, K to marker, sl marker, k to marker, yo, sl marker, k1, sl marker, yo, k to marker, sl marker, k to end.
Even rows 4-end: Sl1, K to first marker, P to last marker, slipping center st markers as you go, K to end.
Rep rows 3 and 4 until you reach your desired shawl size, ending after a row 7 of stripe pattern. You should end with RS facing.
Next 7 rows: K across using B.
Finishing
Bind off loosely. Weave in ends. Block.
