Top Knotched Shawl
The Top Knotched Shawl is a great stashbuster when you have a gorgeous skein of yarn and you don't quite know what to do with it. Constructed from the center out, this knit shawl pattern creates a perfectly square shape with an opening along one edge from the center to accommodate the wearer's head. The color change "turns" each corner of the square, highlighting the shawl's bold, geometric shape. The lightweight yarn is incredibly soft and will keep the breeze off your skin as temperatures change in fall and spring. You don't want to miss this gorgeous free shawl knitting pattern.

This is a pretty shawl with an interesting way that it's made, which looks difficult but it's not. Although it looks lovely in the colors shown, you could use any pretty self patterning yarn that you have on hand to make it. It's a nice lightweight alternative to a sweater or poncho.
