Dandelion Shawl
Free lace shawl knitting patterns should be a couple of things: light, airy and worth the effort it takes to make them. This Dandelion Shawl does all these things and more! Simple and beautiful, this shawl makes a great summer and autumn accessory. Work this striped triangular shawl from the center of the top and outwards near the lace border. This project is best for the intermediate knitter.

I knit this shawl for my mom for her 97th birthday. It turned out beautifully and she really likes it. Made it from cashmere yarn purchased at our local yarn shop. I am still a learner so learned from this project after setting up incorrectly for the dandelion lace (messed up the make one row). Didn't discover my mistake until the "unravel" row. The yarn shop owner helped me greatly. Now I know what a make one stitch looks like in a row of knitting. :) Great pattern!
