Warm Cable Knit Throw
Wrap yourself up in this simple and cozy blanket. The Warm Cable Knit Throw is an easy knitting project for beginners, and is a great way to learn the basic cable stitch. The simplicity of this pattern makes it a great project to work on while catching up with an old friend or sitting in front of the television. The length is easily adjustable; you can add as many rows as you please for a small throw or a large bed cover.

The designer calls this Kounterfeit Kable Kover because it is designed to look like cabling, but it is not (doesn't use a cable needle). She made it using two strands of yarn held together. When I knit a pattern like that I either make the two yarns complementary colors or I make one of them white. Either way gives a very nice appearance.
