This bag is very attractive. The double seed stitch is nice and the bag works up quick. The handles seem to pull a little on the sides of the bag. I'm wondering if there is a way to secure the handles a bit more because I am concerned how they might pull if the bag contained heavier items. If the bag where lined and some stiff interfacing was used with the lining, it might stabilize the bag a bit. I think I'll try that.

This is most attractive and large enough to be truly useful I think I will line it so I can use it to carry a wallet, camera, and extra leash, and puppy cookies - and a book in case I get stuck waiting somewhere -- thinking of deep blue or a chocolate colour

I'm doing this in lion brand hometown, the color is dallas grey. It's taking me a little bit longer than I thought. I'm using Takumi bamboo needles with it. I have to take a lot of breaks. It can get heavy on the straight needles and I have carpal tunnel. But the double seed stitch is crazy easy and with the chunky yarn, it does whip up quick for the length. I'll post a picture once I'm done. I'm at 22" now, so it won't take long now.

Hi, Shifthawke! Are you finding that this piece is sturdy? I tend to put a bunch of stuff in my purse including a book, but it's so beautiful I'd love to knit it!

Is there another way to obtain the pattern? Your requirements for downloading is making me a little leary. Do no want to jeopardize my computer.

This is a beautiful design made with the double seed stitch. It looks nice and sturdy and the leather handles really make the bag pop.
