Proceed in garter st (knit every row), noting first row is RS, until work from beg measures 24 (24½-25-25-26-26½)" [61 (62- 63.5-63.5-66-67.5) cm], ending on a WS row.

Shoulders and back neck: Cast off 15 (16-17-19-23-27) sts. K19 (19-21-21-21-21) and leave these sts on a st holder. Cast off rem 15 (16-17-19-23-27) sts.
Front

Work from ** to ** as given for Back.

Proceed in garter st (knit every row), noting first row is RS, until work from beg measures 21 (21½- 22-22-23-23½)" [53.5 (54.5-56- 56-58.5-60) cm], ending on a WS row.

Shape neck:
Next row: (RS). K20 (21-22-24-28-32) (neck edge).
Turn. Leave rem sts on a spare needle.
Dec 1 st at neck edge on next 2 rows, then on following RS rows 3 times more. 15 (16-17-19-23- 27) sts rem.
Cont even until work from beg measures same length as Back to shoulder, ending on a WS row. Cast off. -
With RS facing, slip next 9 (9-11- 11-11-11) sts onto a st holder. Rejoin yarn to rem sts and knit to end of row.

Dec 1 st at neck edge on next 2 rows, then on following RS rows 3 times more. 15 (16-17-19-23- 27) sts rem.

Cont even until work from beg measures same length as Back to shoulder, ending on a WS row. Cast off.
Sleeves
With smaller needles, cast on 27 (27-29-33-35-37) sts.

Work 2" [5 cm] in garter st (knit every row), noting first row is WS.

Change to larger needles and proceed in stocking st for 4 rows. Inc 1 st each end of next and following 4th rows until there are 41 (43-45-47-47-49) sts.

Cont even until Sleeve from beg measures 15 (15-15-14-14-14)" [38 (38-38-35.5-35.5-35.5) cm], ending on a purl row and dec 3 sts evenly across last row. 38 (40-42- 44-44-46) sts. Place markers at each end of last row.

Work a further 2" [5 cm] in garter st (knit every row) from marked row, ending on a RS row.

Cast off loosely knitways (WS).
Finishing

Collar: Sew right shoulder seam. With RS facing and larger needles, pick up and knit 14 sts down left front neck edge. K9 (9-11-11-11- 11) from Front st holder, inc 3 sts evenly across. Pick up and knit 14 sts up right front neck edge. K19 (19-21-21-21-21) from Back st holder, inc 4 sts evenly across. 63 (63-67-67-67-67) sts.

Beg on a 1st row, work in (K1. P1) ribbing as given for Back for 12" [30.5 cm], ending on a WS row.

Sew left shoulder and Collar seam.

Really pleased, the jumper is super warm and heavy, just what I need in my cold house in winter! This is only my second jumper and the pattern was easy to follow.br /FYI I made medium but reduced collar to 8". This used 16 balls of Paintbox wool mix super chunky.

I love this! It's so hard to find sweater knitting patterns with a wide range of sizes that are actually cute. I'm totally gonna make this for myself!
