Everyone needs a good ski sweater, and it's hard to do better than a hand-knit sweater from a classic vintage pattern. The Frosty Fair Isle Ski Sweater is a beautiful two-color pattern you'll want to flaunt even when it's not ski season. Originally published in 1951, this vintage fair isle pattern contains instructions on how to knit a sweater sure to delight wearers young and old. That is a truly beautiful sweater, but I don't see a photo of it here, I had to go to the originating page to find it. And you're right the small needles takes one back to a time when knitting was a slower pleasure, rather than one rushed through on days off or an hour or so at night. We still enjoy it but maybe not in the same way. Maybe after the holidays when winter becomes boring, I will try this.
