Yes, that is a decrease, slip the next two stitches from left to right, then put the tip of the left hand needle into both stitches and knit them from that position. This used to be done as a knit 2 together through the back of the loop and that is how I still do it. Hope this helps, happy knitting

This sweater has thrown me for a loop! (Pun intended) Ive knit this pattern over and over and it just NEVER looks like the picture. So frustrating! And the 3rd row of the lace pattern , to the last 4 stitches... and says to knit the lace pattern which is a lot more than 4 stitches. Im lost

This pattern is extremely well written for an intermediate pattern, you are not understanding it at all, based on what you have written here, you're not really ready for an intermediate pattern.

I made 3 of those pullovers (myself, my daughter-in-law my niece). Light yarn looks better. Last one I used cotton - perfect. Tried to knit in round to avoid seams, but pattern does not comes up as nice that way. Do not get scared when you think that it comes up too big - it is not.

I like the look of this sweater and that is is knitted in DK yarn. I have enough heavy sweaters. This will be good for spring days and col summer nights. Done in a yarn with a bit of sparkle it can also be good for evening wear. This will go on my list. Thank you.

I love the design of this lace sweater. It is really unique and I definitely want to start it soon. I love that it is made in DK yarn and I really like the ribbed panel. It makes the shaping easier. I love the cotton-ish gray yarn that was used also.

Just made this sweater in Sidar Calico - lovely . Took 7 balls of wool for small size (size 12 UK). One of the nicest sweaters I've knitted for a long time, had no problem with the pattern easy to knit.

I am completely lost doing the back, where you proceed in Ridge Pat. Rows 1-4 are done and then it says to repeat 4 times more. Keeping in ridge pattern you decrease in the next two rows. But how long do you keep up the Ridge Pattern. I have a total of 5 repeats. In the picture it looks like 6 or 7. And it says nothing about doing the 4 rows that started it all, making the large ridge that started this whole section. (On RS knit row, then knit, purl and knit next three rows. Please can I get some help ASAP!!!

Hi, I'm making this in a size L and have just got to the point of shaping the back at the arm holes. I've looked through the rest of the pattern and have found two inconsistencies, please can someone clarify them for me? First at the bottom of the pattern for the back, the pattern states I will have 95 stitches. The pattern then describes a 4 row pattern which results in a decrease of 6 stitches, to be repeated twice more. This should be a total decrease of 18 stitches, leaving 77. The pattern states that 83 stitches will remain. Second, the pattern for the front is split into L,2/3XL and 4/5XL or XS/S, M,L and XL. L appears in both options! Which one should it be in? Many thanks Stephanie

I think this pattern may need CORRECTIONS From the cast of stitches to shape the raglan it says to maintain the ridge pattern but the following two rows in each size alter that fact and make the fourth row a pearl row wherein if one is following the ridge pattern as written the fourth row should be a knit I have knitted and undone knitted and undone this section and it does not end the ridge pattern the way the pattern started though the picture shows that it does There is a large garter stitch at the beginning then a more fine ridge on the front of the jumper for ridges The pattern does not end with a large ridge again before it goes into the lace section again I knit left handed and my knits and pearls are in reverse to right handed knitters but I don't think that is…Read More the problem There is a mistake in the written pattern If I am wrong can somebody please let me know where I am actually going wrong I really love the jumper to as far as I have been able to knit it Thanks

Would love to make this, but the yarn details provide no info on the required amounts. Tried to find the pattern on the Bernat site, but it does not appear to be there. I f someone figures out how much yarn is needed-could you share the info with everyone, thanx.
