Uda's Knit Jacket
If you love hoodies, then Uda's Knit Jacket is for you! The intermediate knit pattern is both stylish and comfortable. It's also the perfect item to wear in chilly weather. There is also a crochet element included in this pattern.
From the blogger: "Worked bottom up, this deceptively simple sweater is a whole lot of fun to knit. Wide cables on the back give the body some texture while the same cables are featured on the sleeves. Seamlessly worked saddle shoulders allow the sleeve cables to continue all the way up to the neck which flairs into a deep hood. Piece is worked back and forth; circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches. Pay careful attention to the setup rows in the Yoke section. These are important to keep the decreasing in one straight line. 'Work to' measurements are for unblocked yarn. Ultra Alpaca expands between 1 to 2 inches when wet blocked."

I really, really like this but I don't like to wear hoods on sweaters. Does anyone have any tips on how to modify the pattern and take the hood off? It seems like it should be doable.

Wow, this is so pretty. The detailing on the back is lovely. It looks so polished and cozy.
