Learning a new skill can be a daunting task, especially if you don’t have an instructor to help you out. The online classes at Annie’s Crafts are perfectly suited to the crafter short on time who is interested in expanding his or her skill repertoire. The classes can be viewed online, at Annie’s Crafts website, any time you want, and you have access to the classes forever. Each class features multiple videos covering in-depth information about the topic at hand. If you don’t have the time or your schedule doesn’t allow you to attend a class in person, the online courses at Annie’s are an excellent resource.
I was able to take the Lace & Openwork Knitting Workshop to get a first-hand experience of what the classes are like. The class was broken up into twelve different sections; I could easily scroll through them and view the courses in any order I chose. Instructor Jill Wright does an excellent job of walking through the basics of knitting lace, and moves right into an introduction to intermediate techniques. With her firm, friendly guidance, lace work seems like an easy and approachable subject.
Like any class, an online course is what you make of it. But there’s no doubt that there is a great learning potential from the Lace & Openwork Knitting Workshop. Knitters who enroll in this course, or any of the Annie’s classes, will not be disappointed. Complete with downloadable materials, space for making your own notes, and the ability to work at your own pace, the online courses at Annie’s are a great learning tool for all crafters.
