I do love the look of this headband and I knit for the out of the cold project, so I thought it would be great for that, however I hate when they link to a blog, they blather on for pages without ever showing you the pattern. I waste so much knitting time trying to find patterns that will benefit the charities I work with searching blogs.

This is a simple knitted headband that would be a great option for gift-giving and also for a quick gift to share with those in need. I have been working the cable stitch for a while now and since mastering it, I never really thought of it as difficult but more like cumbersome trying to work with three needles at once.

This pattern is perfect for me. I've been wanting to get into knitting cables, and I think this would make a great starter pattern.

I just want to knit so I find this site frustrating when trying to find the ACTUAL knitting pattern to knit the item....I get it that ads pay for your site...I'll find other sites

Hi kiwiyzp 5023256, you can access the full pattern by clicking the green link above that says, "Click here for knitting pattern." The link is directly above the blue button that says, "Beginner." Hope this helps! -Editors of AllFreeKnitting

This is a wonderful site, and because it is free, there will be ad links. A little patience goes as far here as it does with anything else, including knitting. I knit on a tight budget, and am so appreciative of all the patterns here. An incredible variety, wonderful links to tutorials.

i would hope the pattern was easier to knit that it was to download. i finally gave up in frustration! why can't it just open up i print or copy or something. guess i'll have to find another pattern.

I found a great way to add patterns into my documents. I hit cltr P. It will ask you if you want to print or save. I save the entire page. That way, like with this pattern if there are video's it will open right up when I click on it. This is a very easy pattern to learn to work cables. Which of course takes your knitting skills up a level.
