I really can’t stop raving about these Lavishea bars. These lovely lotion bars are made with all natural ingredients, are gluten-free, and don’t leave a greasy residue. I wasn’t sure that the bars would live up to the hype, but once I tested out a sample I became a convert.
Let’s start at the beginning. A simple metal tin simultaneously protects your bar and the contents of your purse; the tin is simple to open but won’t spring open randomly, which is a good thing for the knitter on the go. Once you open up your lotion bar, a lovely smell will greet you. I tried out the pear scent, which smelled natural and fresh without being overly sweet. You apply the lotion by rubbing the bar over your hands, kind of like soap. The novel application surprised me a bit, but it was very easy to use once I got used to it. Popping the bar in and out of the tin was also a breeze.
I immediately noticed that my hands felt better after applying the lotion. My dry skin disappeared as the moisturizing agents in the lotion worked their magic! Thoroughly impressed by the product, I decided to give it the ultimate test: knitting after application. As many knitters know, lotioning up right before knitting can lead to small disasters. Residue lotion can rub off from your hands onto your knitting, resulting in a weird patch that refuses to go away quickly. I knew the Lavishea lotion was something different as soon as I picked up my knitting; my yarn didn’t stick to my moisturized fingers, and my knitting slid smoothly through my fingers. As a knitter for many years, I was deeply impressed by the Lavishea lotion; I would definitely recommend this product to anyone plagued by dry skin.
