Vickie Howell's new line of yarn with Caron called Sheep(ish) has finally arrived! We were lucky enough to nab three skeins of the magenta(ish) color for review courtesy of Caron. Let me say first of all that this is gorgeous yarn. You won't believe the vibrancy of its color until you see it in person. For an acrylic blend, it's also incredibly soft, making it an excellent choice for baby projects and a variety of knitwear.
The yarn is constructed of 70 percent acrylic materials and 30 percent wool and each skein features 167 yards of yarn. When you wash it, make sure to use the cold, gentle cycle and let it air dry flat.
Aside from this yarn's obvious high quality, another nice touch is the free pattern that's included underneath every paper label that keeps the skein together. Our particular skeins featured a crochet pattern for an adorable baby shawl. If you don't like the pattern featured underneath your label, Vickie Howell has several free patterns posted on Caron's website. There's even a pattern made specifically with this color yarn - a short sleeved cardigan.
