This is beautiful. I was thinking of perhaps using a cotton thread and trying a table covering. Of course far from being able to make a pattern and all it would just have to be a square. I think I may just give it a try. It seems to be becoming a lost art in some ways. No one I know does it ..with crochet etc. like they used to. I have never heard of doing it with knitting so trial and error.
