A Child's Light
A Child’s Light is a child abuse prevention education and advocacy non-profit organization. Our current project involves providing knitted or crocheted purple colored baby caps to hospitals, who in turn deliver them to families of newborns in November and December each year. Additionally, parents and/or caregivers receive The Period of PURPLE Crying training which educates them about normal infant crying, ways to cope with the crying and the dangers of reacting in frustration by shaking or abusing an infant.
