Super Stockinette Dishcloth
Learning to knit is a fun and exciting process, but sometimes it's hard to know where to start. The Super Stockinette Dishcloth is a great pattern to begin with for a couple reasons. First of all, a knit dishcloth pattern is a quick and satisfying way to beginning knitters to gain confidence and accuracy. Secondly, the stockinette stitch is a basic stitch used in a variety of more complicated patterns, so mastering it is vital. The Super Stockinette Stitch Dishcloth makes a great learning tool as well as a cute kitchen accessory.

Sometimes a very simple pattern is just right. This stockinette stitch dish cloth would be great to show off a self patterning cotton yarn, maybe use up some leftovers in the stash. I've made preemie baby blankets using a similar pattern - you just cast on a lot more stitches to make it wider.
