The save pattern button no longer works on this site. You now need to save any pattern you want as a PDF or just print it out from the designer's web site.

Do not like using circular needles. However, I do find working on DP Needles a bit challenging. My question is: Can this pattern be worked on Double Pointed (straight) Needles? Given a choice I'd rather use the DP Needles. If not I will just have to use my stand by pattern and incorporate the cable stitch in it. Thank You.

The sweetie Pie hat is incorrect. I have tried it twice and there is no way you can knit every row and get stockinet stitch the way the hat looks.

you must knit in the round to get the stockinette stitch by knitting each round. if you work back and forth and put a seam up the back, then you have to knit on the right side and purl on the wrong side to create the stockinette, not so with knitting in the round.

I'm not used to knitting in rounds, but guess I will give it a try. I have been knitting for years and have never tried it. Thanks.

If you mean the type that is big enough for dreadlocks, you might find it under "raska" hats. I have a student who wanted to make a beret for her dad but he is Jamaican, mon and needs room for his dreads.
