Hi corrietowler, if you look up the pattern Fair Isle Gloves on our site, I believe that is what you are looking for. Despite their name, they are not a colorwork pattern, but rather use a yarn that gives the gloves a fair isle effect. You can certainly utilize single-color yarn with this project and get a nice pair of plain gloves. We hope this helps! Happy knitting! -Editors of AllFreeKnitting
