From what I've seen from this designer, she designs some really cute cowls. This one is just as cute and I love the cable pattern she used. Cables can be a pain, but I think the challenging nature makes them more fun to work up. I think this would look nice in a solid color and the fact that it only uses one skein of yarn is another plus.

Someday I shall count the number of cowl patterns I have saved to knit as gifts for myself and others - this one is casual/smart for that person who doesn't want to make a decision as to which to wear with what with jacket and jeans or dressy sweater and suit for work... that touch of class - I know exactly who will get this one this Christmas
