What happens after row 9? Repeat starting from row 1? Because then cable 3 gets repeated again right away. Doesn't seem right...

had no problem opening the pattern - and no pdf file either. These cowl/scarf patterns with the button closures have such appeal. Just that little extra style and class.

In order to accommodate the three seed stitches on either side of the cowl, you would have to cast on 46 stitches not 40. I have to rip out what I have started. I have read in the comments that there are other errors also. If I find too may, I may have to try another project.

I just reread the pattern and realized the three seed stitches on either side of the cowl are included in the pattern rows. I thought it meant three seed stitches on each side in addition to the pattern stitches. Sorry about that!

If you hold the 3 stitches at the back, the cable goes to the right. At the back, then to the left.

Quicky easy knit. Had not done cables in quite some time. I had forgotten how much I love doing a piece that is cabled. Beware, the pattern has errors. A newbie to cabling would not catch it.

If you repeat the pattern every 3 rows one time you do the pattern you will be working on the right side of the piece and the next set will be on the wrong side. As in right, wrong, right....wrong, right, wrong...etc. Is this correct or is there actually supposed to be another row to bring you back to the starting point in the pattern?

After finishing the first cable round you need to flip rows 1 and 2. Then continue to work in the same manner. The pattern is miss written.

THANK YOU!!! I am doing this and It was so wrong, so i'm writing out the pattern with XO for my knit and pearls and once you hit that point it just doesn't make sense. It was purling where I should be knitting. I am new to knitting so trying to figure it out was making me crazy!

What does cable knit 3/3 stitches mean? There is no explanation given.

Knit 3/3 stitches creates the cable. Put 3 stitches on your cable needle, knit 3 stitches from left needle, then knit the 3 stitches from the cable needle. I am not sure, however, if you hold the 3 sts. on the cable needle to the front or the back of the work. My guess would be hold to the back (but it's only a guess).
