    Knitting Needle Size35 or 19 mm

    Yarn Weight(6) Super Bulky/Super Chunky (4-11 stitches for 4 inches)

    Gauge1 stitches, 2 rows, 3 inches. stockinette stitch

    Materials:

    • Bernat® Mega Bulky™ (10.5 oz/300 g; 60 yds/58 m) Radiant Orchid (88314) - 1 ball
    • Size U.S. 35 (19 mm) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
       

    GAUGE: 5 sts and 7 rows = 4" [10 cm] in stocking st.
     

    Measurements: Approx 9" [23 cm] wide x 28" [71 cm] around


    Abbreviations:
    Approx = Approximately
    Beg = Beginning
    K = Knit
    P = Purl
    Pat = Pattern
    Rep = Repeat
    RS = Right side
    St(s) = Stitch(es)
    Tog = Together
     

    Instructions:
    Cast on 12 sts.
    1st row: (RS). *K1. P1. Rep from * to end of row.
    2nd row: *P1. K1. Rep from * to end of row
    Rep last 2 rows for Seed St Pat until work from beg measures approx 28" [71 cm], ending on a RS row. Cast off.
    Sew cast on and cast off edges tog.

    What a fun pattern! With the super bulky/super chunky yarn and big needles it should work up quickly. It looks like it would be nice and cozy warm. I think as a variation instead of sewing the ends together you could sew buttons on one end instead to make a button closure.
