The joy of these imitation cables is that they can be used in other projects -- a crib or pram blanket or a lap throw come to mind as the simplest choices, but a simple sweater would work as would a hat . This is a beautiful pattern! There are so many cabled patterns that I have found, but none are like this one. The pattern is easy to follow, which is very nice! I also like the color, but I would definitely make it in a different color, like pink or purple. This would make a great gift for any woman who loves to wear scarves.

another great pattern for beginning knitters - not ready to tackle cables but can get that look and feel good about the finished product may well find the interest in cables awakened
