"Do you want cute table decorations for christmas? Or just to get a bit into the holiday spirit. Why not knit one of these charming christmas gnomes. They are knitted all in garter stitch and in one piece. They start with a provsional cast on and are finished with a three-needle bind off. It's a great pattern to use up some yarn leftovers - and one gnome is quickly knit up. The pattern contains written instructions as well as complete charts."

This little guy is so cute and he is not hard to make. I read the instructions and I want to make up a bunch of them. Each in a different color out fit of course. I can put them on my mantel and have a regular herd of them!

That's cute! As a Christmas tree ornament or a table display, it would be fun. I would probably go ahead and make one into a Santa by making the body slightly longer, adding a white stripe above the face for Santa's hat trim. Or it could be made in green to look like an elf. Well, there goes my afternoon!

Ok, this is adorable. i'm not usually too interested in knit home decor because it can look dated quite easily, but this is so sleek and cute, it'd be usable for several years. Love it!
