Although this is a vintage pattern, it has a classic cable stitch design that looks great today. It looks great in white, but I'm sure it would look wonderful in almost any solid color you chose. I wouldn't use a self patterning yarn because it would detract from the textured design of the afghan.

It says "click here for knitting pattern" yet when you do, it takes you to another web site asking for your email address, causing you to sign up for other news letters. I just wanted the one free knitting pattern. not having to sign up to alot of web sites just to get one "free" pattern.
