Wow, what a beautiful and classic sweater. It looks almost like a tailored jacket, which would make this sweater perfect when paired with a pair of pants or a skirt, especially in a coordinating color with the pants or skirt. I just have to be sure the yarn is comfortable against my skin because some yarn makes me itch!

This is an elegant cardigan. It isnt overly fancy, but the simple accents and mother of pearl buttons really give it something extra. Yarn choice will definitely play a role in whether or not this pattern comes out as pretty as the designers cardigan. Not just any worsted will give this result.

Hi, bluenettles2! It says medium worsted or Aran! I meant to look at the actual pattern to see the fiber content, but I forgot. We can both click on the pattern to find out that info! My rating is arbitrary as well!

Hi! I really want to knit this sweater, but I want the freedom to choose a different brand of yarn, other than the yarns you recommend. Can you tell me the weight of yarn that you used, like Sport or DK, etc.? (I am a knitting newbie) Thanks, Bluey PS my rating is arbitrary, as I haven't knit the sweater YET!

Both yarns are worsted weight, Maxima is 218 yds. per 100 grams and the Kozmo is 119 yds. per 45 grams. Hope this helps.
