Inspired by the dwarvish alphabet Tolkien created, these mitts are an engaging knit with visually striking but intuitive cables. They are constructed using a scrap yarn provisional cast-on and knit in the round. The provisional stitches are then placed on a spare circular needle and worked together with the active stitches to create a lovely picot edging.
