Beginner Garter Stitch Beanie

"This simple, gender-neutral beanie is a beginner-friendly, knit flat hat pattern. Use a self-striping yarn to highlight the garter stitches, which, when assembled, will form vertical “stripes” on the hat. Best of all, it’s a one-skein project! US Size 8/5 mm straight knitting needles, or size needed to obtain gauge. Clover bent tip yarn needle. Gauge 16 sts = 4” (6.5 cm) across in garter stitch (knit every stitch of every row).
