Yarn Weight(5) Bulky/Chunky (12-15 stitches for 4 inches)

Gauge14 stitches, 18 rows, 4 inches. stockinette stitch

I love the texture of this hat, something different from just garter stitch or seed stitch, even though both of those are nice. The designer gives instructions for seven sizes, which is fabulous when you're trying to knit to fit someone. I'd probably go with a brighter color, or maybe a self patterning yarn.
