Can you explain "When switching yarns, wrap yarn for next st under yarn used for previous st. Rep from around." what does wrapping yarn under yarn AND wrap yarn over yarn?

This instruction is to wrap the new yarn around the old yarn and twist them together, if it is not done or not done correctly, it will create a hole when changing colours. For a knit stitch wrap the yarn under, for purl stitches wrap the yarn over, it is to keep the colour changes consistent and not leave a hole at the change.

Where your pattern says Shape top, changing to set of 4 double pointed needles where appropriate. What does this mean? I'm new. Also do I have to buy the circular and double pointed needles in both sizes? Is there a video on someone making this? It would be a lot easier to follow along and learn that way or a class?

Where the pattern says to change to double pointed needles where appropriate means that when the stitches become too tight to work on circulars you switch to dp's. You need the circular needles in both size 4.5mm and 5mm, you only need dp's in 5mm. Youtube is full of videos that many new knitter's find extremely helpful (even some of us older knitters that have forgotten things use them) This would actually be a really good first project on dp's for a new knitter.
