Fruits of the Forest Scarf
This rustic knit scarf pattern is a great garter stitch project to try this season. The Fruits of the Forest Scarf is a beautifully colored scarf full of earth tones, deep reds, rich purples, and moss greens. The scarf is knit on a bias, but don't let that scare you. It's a simple adaptation from the basic garter stitch, and as long as you know how to increase and decrease, you'll be able to create this gorgeous scarf.

the colour melange is warm and tempting, providing a wide range of colours with which it can co-ordinate the texture is comforting an cuddly -- and a new skill, knitting on the bias - looking forward to introducing this to my teen-aged knitter she has almost finished her latest project and will be looking for another one (addicted??) and this has such texture and colour and no purling being left-handed, she has a problem with purling still. Want to set her up for success as much as possible
