Gathered Rib Scarf
The Gathered Rib Scarf is a petite scarf that packs a big punch. The variegated yarn makes this free knitting pattern really pop. Plus, you can complete the scarf by using only two skeins of yarn, so it's a great stash buster. If you prefer a longer scarf and you have a bit more yardage to work with, or even a solid color yarn, this knitted scarf will look just as beautiful. The rib and gathering of this scarf works incredibly well with the variegation of the yarn. The end result is a beautiful, colorful design you will certainly love wearing again and again.

I like this because it's a petite scarf and would not overwhelm me because I'm short. I also just love the variegated yarn. I also think a self-striping yarn would look good. Will have to knit one and find out.
