What a nightmare pattern. The mistakes in it are obvious and immediate, either the cast on is wrong or the pattern is. The creator keeps putting up comments here and on the pattern sites indicating there is a updated version, but no where does it mention any corrections to the pattern.

The pattern is in error. Rows 3 and 4 after ribbing should be omitted. If you have 2" of ribbing on each end, and 34" in pattern, that equals 38". Also, looking at the photo of this scarf, it clearly shows that the pattern rows start right after the 2" of ribbing. I hope this will help beginning knitters. Thank you for allowing me to make my comments on what appears to be a beautiful scarf.

How about the ribbing? It doesn't make a bit of sense. Please clarify the first 2 rows: "Ribbing Row 1 k2, p2 across row and knit the last stitch, p1. Row 2 Repeat Row 1" THIS doesn't equal ribbing. Not with 35 stitches. you can only do the k2p2 8 times (32 stitches) knitting one more stitch, then purling doesn't equal 35. Also, with the uneven number of stitches, when you turn & repeat the row, it won't look like ribbing. PLEASE PLEASE CLARIFY! It is NOT addressed in your 'updated pattern'

I think you would just repeat the same thing you did ( K1P1 K5 P3 K5). That would use up the 15 stitches that you have left.

I went along with pattern doing two inches of K2P2 then i did rows k1p1knit all line until end then k1p1. Started pattern did first two rows fine. When I got to that line it says K1P1 K5 P3 K5, last two stitches K1P1 it does not say what to do after K5 to finish row. There is still about 15 stitches to go until the K1P1 at end of line. Can't continue until I know how to finish this line. Very frustrating. Please help
