Montgomery Scarf
Use this free knitting pattern to make this elegant Montgomery Scarf. This is a perfect pattern for a beginner - lovely and easy. The eyelets give this scarf an interesting appearance, but are quite easy to make. Bands of garter stitch frame the eyelets and stockinette stitch, giving this scarf a visually interesting texture. Any beginner knitter will have a blast knitting up this easy scarf pattern.

Hi jjdisessa2000 3749840, After you click through to the pattern page, you'll see two tabs: Description and Additional Information. Click on Additional Information and you'll see a Download Now button. You'll be directed to a PDF. Hope this helps! -Editors of AllFreeKnitting

Each time I do the row with the k2tog and the yarn overs I'm losing one stitch. Am I missing something?

First of all the problems you are experiencing on the actual website are no the fault of all free knitting. all free knitting simply provides a link to the pattern, after that you are at the mercy of whoever set up the website. On this particular website you simply add what you want to your cart and check out and the pattern is sent to your email where you can download and print. All the complaints I've read on here should actually be directed to the website itself, not the website that does all this hosting for you for free!

Hi Barbara, Sorry about the inconvenience. Because this is an aggregate site, we link to all different types of patterns and tutorials.

Wow, this site REALLY needs to work on its links and directions to find things. FINALLY after three days, I was able to FIND and download the pattern for the Montgomery Fingerless Mitts. Now, there is a problem finding the matching pattern for the scarf...ooops - there it is - only where are the corrections??? I think they need to hire a new programmer! Sorry, allfree, but it's hard to want to come here looking for fun patterns even though there are quite a few shown. There are plenty of sites with plenty of free patterns that you can actually find your way around.

Just in case you haven't found it yet, it's still on the pattern page and it reads: correction Dec 16, 2010: on the second page, it should read: Rows 6-9: Knit. Rows 10, 12, 14: Purl. Hope this helps!

I downloaded the pattern for Montgomery scarf. On the first webpage I saw a correction to the directions, but when I went back to check it after the downoad was complete, I could not find it. Are the directions correct as posted?
