Show Off Boomerang
"For that one special skein of yarn, handspun or hand dyed, that’s a show off all by itself. The Show Off Boomerang is a bias knit shawl that can be made with any weight of yarn. Bind off when you’re ready, and make the shawl as big or as small as you want. You could use a skein of bulky or that sock yarn that looked so pretty in the skein. All of the increases happen on one row of the pattern repeat for easy auto-pilot knitting that's perfect for both beginners and experienced knitters."

Even though it doesnt, from a distance this yarn gives off a slight appearance of glitter. When I zoomed in, this was not a glitter yarn. Love how these colors blend together and make such a pretty shawl / wrap. I might make mine a little larger in order to be able to tie the ends together for a more secure and warmer hold.

I have since made the shawl and it is a great pattern. I am also making another one right now. I do not have a photo but trust me, you will love it and it knits up fast.

What an easy shawl! And you can use any yarn. I have extra skeins of yarn that would be perfect for this pattern. I know once I make one, my friends will want one as well. As long you can knit front and back, you can make this. Thank you.

This offers so much I have a little stash of special yarns I have kept against the day I should find the right pattern, and the day is now. One is a multi-coloured silk yarn that will be a lovely shawl using this pattern, the other is positively magnificent yarn in blacks and blues that would be equally beautiful (and save me from having to knit a sweater and sew it together lol) - could get at least two shawls out of it... one for me and one for a gift for Christmas 2017 (why do I feel so organized?)

I am looking for a pattern for a short cape. It is for a senior who gets chilly as she does not move around very much. It should be about 15 inches in length

I don't see why you couldn't use this pattern. Just keep measuring till it's your desired length and bind off. Use a really stunning yarn like the one shown here (or one in her favorite color) and I'm sure she'll love it. Please upload a photo when you're done so we can see it.
