I love this stole with its vintage look and can easily imagine it as part of a rockabilly wardrobe. While I thought the polka dots were knit in as part of the pattern, I see that they were added by crocheting a circle and attaching it to a button mold - I assume the mold is a button ring. That makes the shawl a simple repetitive knit with a slight modified rib pattern.
