One Skein Knit Thick Socks
Got a skein of yarn? Then you're ready to make these One Skein Knit Thick Socks! These socks will be the perfect antidote to the cold winter weather. If you've always wanted to learn how to knit socks, then this pattern is for you!
From the blogger: "These thick socks from a very bulky yarn are a fast knit project. They can be done in less than one day. This project can be done even by talented advanced beginners because the pattern calls only for knit and purl stitches, the heel is knitted with short rows, and then socks are finished with the Kitchener stitch. But don't despair — it is only 6+6 stitches that have to be grafted. If you need a last-minute gift for someone, then this is the perfect quick project. A video is included with a free pattern."

I've wanted to learn how to knit socks for ages, but I've been scared to try. I think this would be a good place for me to start!

Good bulky sock pattern. Perfect for the winter. I knit socks a lot. Home made socks just fit your feet better. These will be good since the cold weather is upon us here in NYC. I too have bulky yarn left over from making hats and scarves. The instructions are detailed, which is what I like. Ready in a day? I don't know about that but over all it won't take that long. Thank you.
