Hexagonal Market Bag
If you're knitting bags for the grocery store, there is no reason why your bag has to be boring! Make this Hexagonal Market Bag in a pretty lemon yellow yarn to add some spring fever to your reusable bags. Make sure your handle isn't too long to begin with; once you start filling your beautiful bag with groceries, the handle will stretch slightly.

Great simple pattern for a bag that will be very useful and attractive. Many of the markets are eliminating plastic bags so I am looking for different patterns to make bags. I can toss this in my purse and I will have a bag all ready when I go to the store. You can make this in different colors. The base ad handles could be different than the base. Easy stitch and I like the fact it is knitted in the round. Thank you.

Love this bag. Austin, TX has recently passed a law making it illegal for stores to provide single use bags. You have to bring your own or buy bags every time you go to the store. I used a lot of my stash of leftovers to make a dozen multi-colored bags. I stuff all of them into one and keep them in my car. They hold a lot.

Loved this bag. Knitted it in solid base and top, with openwork in varigated. Would rate it a 5 star
