This bag is made with Bernat Home Decor yarn, which the blog says is similar to T-shirt yarn. So I'd be tempted to try making this with homemade T-shirt yarn to get a colorful, unique look. You could also make it a solid color but add appliques and charms. Pinned this one to make!
