Thick Ribbed Hat
This beautiful ice blue knit hat pattern is probably the warmest hat you'll ever knit. The Thick Ribbed Hat is knit with the fisherman's rib stitch, making it a cozy winter essential that will keep you warm even in gale force winds. This thick hat is an easy knitting pattern that can be finished relatively quickly because of the bulky yarn and large needles required. The Thick Ribbed Hat is like giving your head a big bear hug in the middle of a snow storm. Enjoy!

the pattern calls for size 11 and 11.5 needles but in the pattern it says to switch to size 10.5 needle. I'm not sure what I missed. I love the look of the hat and know it will keep you warm.

The pattern calls for a Fisherman's Rib stitch. That being said, try it again. This stitch will create a very soft and cushy hat.

I love the hat but can't understand the directions. First of all, 1k, 1p, I assume is the same as k1, p1, but row 2 and row 3 definitely left me in the cold. Especially since it is determined to be "easy pattern". knit on the yo? what's that? Won't try to make it although I love the look of the hat.
