I am trying to download the instructions but every time I get a this page does not exist message. Would love to knit this hat.

Hi patriciafilby, thanks for bringing this to our attention! We've updated the pattern with the correct link, so you should be able to view the pattern, now. Happy knitting! -Editors of AllFreeKnitting

The perfect hat for the younger kids. Its a very simple pattern with easy to understand instructions and an easy one to customize with different textures of yarn. All you would need to do is make sure your gauge is correct with whatever yarn you want and have fun.

This is a great hat pattern in a classic style. I like the ribbing because it keeps the edge from rolling up like with stockinette stitch. Plus, the ribbing is kind of stretchy so you can fit someone's head size better. Some people really like the stretch hat better too because it is snug without feeling too tight.

This is a simple yet really great looking pattern, it is a good one for getting the hang of using circular needles and working in the round. I have followed the pattern and also done a slightly amended version using 2 rib but this is not quite as stretchy. It makes a good male gift as there are not many patterns that I would make for men but my husband wears his when out walking the dog on chilly mornings.

I'm confused on the yarn for the Simple Slouchy Hat. On the page it says Bulky yarn. Then when you click for the pattern, it is different. It says worsted weight? Which is it? I'm kinda new at this but I know there is a big difference. Thank you and I so want to make the hat. )

Hello joy steffens! The pattern calls for worsted weight yarn. The information on our site has been updated. Sorry for the confusion! -Editor of AllFreeKnitting

I am fairly new to knitting and have a question about this pattern. I thought that a twisted rib required a k1 tbl, p1 for every round, but this seems to suggest a K1, p1 in between each. Am I reading that correctly? Thanks for your help.

yes, it's k1b, p1 followed by k1, p1...saw it on youtube https//www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlJSLDtZzLo

May I ask what weight yarn you used?

Loved making this hat for my husband even tho I am not a fan of K1P1 ribbing. He likes it so much I might consider making it again some day but might try K2P2 to maintain my sanity :) Thanks for this one!

Looks perfect! I've been trying to find a good pattern for the men in my life. Great unisex pattern.
