    Materials List

    • Bernat® Blissful™ yarn: (3.5 oz/100 g; 106 yds/97 m) Tapestry (89002) - 2 balls
    • Size U.S. 11 (8 mm) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
    • 4 stitch markers.

    Instructions

    Shrug

    Cast on 23 (25-28) sts.

    Knit 3 rows (garter st), noting 1st row is WS.

    Proceed in stocking st and inc 1 st each end of needle on next and every following 10th (8th-8th) row until there are 31 (35-38) sts, ending on a purl row. Place markers each end of last row.

    Proceed as follows:

    1st row: (RS). Knit.
    2nd row: K3. Purl to last 3 sts. K3.

    Rep last 2 rows until work from marked row measures 16 (18-20)" [40.5 (45.5-51) cm], ending on WS row. Place second set of markers each end of last row.

    Proceed in stocking st only and dec 1 st each end of needle on next and every following 10th (8th-8th) row until there are 23 (25-28) sts, ending on a knit row.

    Knit 2 rows. Cast off knitwise (WS).

    Sew sleeve seams from cast on and cast off edges to markers.
