    Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

    Gauge20 sts and 28 rnds = 4" [10 cm] in pat using larger needle.

    Finished SizeApprox 9" [23 cm] deep x 28" [71 cm] around.

    Materials List

    • Caron™ Simply Soft™ (6 oz/170 g; 315 yds/288 m) Main Color (MC) Pagoda (0014) 1 ball
    • Caron™ Simply Soft Stripes™ (4 oz/113 g; 194 yds/177 m) Contrast A Jersey Shore (14007) 1 ball
    • Sizes U.S. 6 (4 mm) and U.S. 8 (5 mm) circular knitting needles 24" [60 cm] long or size needed to obtain gauge.
    • Stitch marker.

    Instructions

    With smaller needle and MC, cast on 120 sts. Join, being careful not to twist sts, and place marker for beg of rnd.
    1st rnd: *K1. P1. Rep from * around.
    Rep last rnd (K1. P1) ribbing for 1½" [4 cm].

    Change to larger needle and proceed in pat as follows:
    1st rnd: With A, *K1. Sl1P. Rep from * around.
    2nd rnd: With A, knit.
    3rd rnd: With MC, K2. *Sl1P. K1. Rep from * around.
    4th rnd: With MC, knit.
    Rep 1st to 4th rnds for pat until work from beg measures 8½" [21 cm]. Break A.
    Change to smaller needle.
    With MC, knit 1 rnd.
    1st rnd: *K1. P1. Rep from * around.
    Rep last rnd (K1. P1) ribbing for 1½" [4 cm].
    Cast off in ribbing.
