What a beautiful new stitch for me to learn--Andalusian double stitch! I love the way that it shows up so well on a solid color too. So thankful for you editors here on AllFreeKnitting. I found the link for the English pdf under the third picture En anglaisBabyBlanketAlmeria . I clicked on it and the pdf in English popped right up! After looking around on the artist's website I realized that many of the beautiful patterns have English translations with them. How thoughtful to have included us! Merci beaucoup

What is a selvedge stitch and is says guage is 13 sts/12 rows but what does it equal.

Selvedge stitches are the stitches on either end of the row that are outside of the pattern repeat to create uniform edges, gauge is just gauge it does not equal anything, there is no conversion for it. Gauge is the amount of stitches and rows you should achieve knitting the specified sequence of stitches to achieve the size stated in the pattern, if you do not achieve gauge, your project will not be the correct size and/or shape.

Another pretty blanket from this designer. Her instructions are written in French but she links to a page of instructions written in English too. The link is about 1/4 of the way down the page. I noticed the designer has a matching vest and booties to complete the ensemble.
