I just can't understand the C2L and C2R directions! Can you describe them any better? Thanks! Sally Marich

Just think of it as cabling without a cable needle, cables are just working the stitches out of order, and that is what the pattern is instructing you to do.

I am not sure what yarn is used to make this hat...as it says Patons Classic Wool Worsted and don't seem to be able to find a yarn listed anywhere. I am just learning to knit.

That yarn can be found here-https//www.yarnspirations.com/patons-classic- == wool-worsted-yarn/244077.html

Thanks Daphne for sharing your "in the round" experience. I also hate seaming and especially on a hat because it just seems like extra bulk. I think I will also cast-on and try this in the round.

Thanks for the pattern! I abhor sewing, so I attempted to knit it in the round which skewed it a bit, but I stilled loved the results. It was a thank you hat for my sister-in-law for mailing back my forgotten knitting.

I made this hat last winter in a lovely chocolate colour, and it was the best hat I had when I began driving through the Grampians mountains for my rural mail delivery job! Thank you so much for sharing your pattern!

Is there a problem with the gauge? 1 stitch = 3" cannot be right. I'd like to make this hat but now without having the correct gauge.

Hey there! The correct gauge is actually further down in the pattern. We forgot to delete the incorrect one at the top. I hope that helps! Happy knitting!

Thank you so much! It's a great hat and I can't wait to cast on!
