This is a lovely lightweight hat pattern. It is knitted flat, then seamed together when you're done. However, the designer does give instructions on her blog page for knitting it with circular needles if you want. This hat will be great for cool weather that is not cold enough for a thick winter hat.

New knitter question After it says Knit rows 1-20 (2 or 3xs), it says to knit row 1 once more. Is that the purl Row 1 or is it just another knit Row 1? Thanks.

It would be the purl row 1 because that is the row 1 of the pattern. I know this is really late, but it may help someone. Happy knitting.
