Personalized Mittens
Make your mark on these cute, vintage inspired Personalized Mittens. The flowery motif on the back of the mittens is based off of an old embroidery chart. A letter of your choice adorns each thumb, so you can put your own personal stamp on these mittens. Your fingers will stay nice and warm inside of these mittens. Knitting up the color work chart will be a fun project for experienced knitters.

It's about time I make myself something for "me." All too often my knitting goes to someone in need, or as a gift. I have even given away items which, I am wearing/using, to a stranger who expresses real delight in either the pattern or knowledge/time/experience in making it. This pattern I shall not give away. It's mine, it's mine!

I don't see anywhere in the pattern that would indicate that they are double stranded, what am I missing? The way I read it, you are using two different colours and at points there will be strands of each colour if not in use on the wrong side, maybe I'm reading it wrong.

I love the idea of using wonderful old embroidery designs in knitting. Having recently moved to California, I don't foresee a need for mittens but I think I will adapt the pattern to double knitting an earwarmer/headband. Thanks for the pattern -- and the commentary. Very enjoyable.
